curious design generalist turned design leader

I love to solve problems and get shit done.

Since I was a kid, I always showed a propensity for creativity. My mom would sneak printer boxes of printer paper home from work, the old school, continuous form paper that was attached at a perforated line so one could tear it neatly. I would sit in front of the television on Saturday mornings, drawing the day away. When my hand got tired from drawing, I’d take a break to build spaceships and carry out secret missions with Legos.

As a geriatric elder Millennial, I’m one of the last generations to remember and navigate the analog ways in today’s digital landscape. The advent of the Internet sparked my interest in technology, and computers gave me an outlet to tinker. In college I discovered my calling, graphic design, at the intersection of creative and just the right amount of technology.

Fast forward years later, my work ethic of hustling and love for problem solving, I found, was well suited for startup environments where moving quickly with little to no resources is a virtue.

In my down time I enjoy spending quality time with my fam, attending live music, finding my next best thing to eat, seeing new places, or enjoying a frosty tropical cocktail.
